My love for a certain science fiction franchise and the ships that appear in it had motivated my imagination since I can remember being alive. That love eventually leaded me to design my own ships and bring them to life in my art, as well as trying to live by the message of peace and understanding that TV show promoted so long ago.

Interests
So, I've been super busy with my job and my studies, so not a lot of time left for my hobbies. Worst of all, my mother had a kidney transplant last month, so I suddenly found myself living on my own and having to go to the hospital to take some care of her, and after that I had to take care of her at home. She is doing fine now, luckily.

Anyway, it's funny how I always end up writing this journal entries to excuse myself for not posting as much stuff as I would want to. I have lots of stuff planned, new renders with my old models, new models, new logos, new everything. Of course, I probably won't be able to do half the stuff I want, and end up writing another journal like this in a couple of months. =P

Let's hope not! :D

I'm lost for words, I just had to do something, not very original or well made, but what the hell, I'm not feeling like spending much time designing right now, I just had to do it.

Thank you for not only giving us a wonderful character to love, but also for being a wonderful person in your own right.

Starfleet Combadges and Insignias by Rekkert
Starfleet Combadges and Insignias
This is something that I started at work when I don't have much to do. I plan to keep doing more of them and update this, including fan designs and concepts. Mainly because I found that doing this calms me down a bit, so I'll continue to do this only at work (when there isn't work to do, of course :D), it's not as if I could do any 3D work with this notebook...

So, if you have any suggestion for a combadge that's not here, or found a mistake in any of the ones I made, let me know, I'll be happy to add more work to this!
Also, if you want to use any of these, feel free to do so, though I would appreciate the credit.

Well, now I need to start telling which insignia is from where, don't I? Well, here we go: :P

Canon, prime universe:
First row: TMP, flag officers | TWoK, officers | TWoK, enlisted crew | TSfS, security personal on Earth Spacedock | TUC, civilian services (the waiters at the dinner scene were using this insignia, as far as I know it was only used there)
Second row: TNG, officers | TNG, officers variant (short lived, only used in season 2) | TNG, provisional officers | Imaginary future from TNG: "Future Imperfect", officers | Imaginary future from TNG: "Future Imperfect", flag officers
Third row: DS9/VOY, officers | Possible future from TNG: "All Good Things...", officers | 29th Century from VOY: "Relativity", officers

Canon, alternate universe:
Fourth row: ST (2009) early 23th Century, officers | ST (2009), officers | ST (2009), cadets | ST (2009), Academy teachers | STID, flag officers
Fifth row: STID, dress uniform, officers | STID, dress unifrom, captains

Non-canon:
Sixth row: ST Online, officers | ST Online, flag officers | "ST Renegades" fan-series, officers | "ST Final Frontier" canceled animated series, officers | Alternate 23th century from "ST Of Gods and Men" fan-series, officers

you might find this amusing... A few days ago there was a cartoon Frank & Earnest where they visited a wax museum. The caption was "This is Kirk; This is Bones; and this is Spork" where the artist drew Spock as a spork.  It was pretty funny

Hi!

Me again!

Congrats on winning a place in SOALL. I'd like to ask, do you allow me to crop the image and feature your real name?

Cheers,

Dave
